Upcoming freeway closures

With lower traffic volumes expected in the coming days, works are ramping up on the Monash Freeway.

Crews will re-asphalt sections of existing lanes between Warrigal Road and Wellington Road nightly except Fridays from Sunday 18 July to Thursday 5 August.

The freeway will be closed outbound:

• On Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 July from 9pm to 5.30am each night

The freeway will be closed inbound:

• On Wednesday 21, Thursday 22, and Sunday 25 July from 10pm to 4.30am each night

• On Saturday 24 July from 10.30pm to 7am Sunday 25 July

Delays of up to 20 minutes are expected with detours via Princes Highway.

Dates are weather dependent and subject to change.

To widen the freeway above Cardinia Creek and Lower Gum Scrub Creek in Officer, crews will pour concrete to join the new bridge section to the existing bridge.

To safely pour the concrete and allow it to strengthen there will be changed traffic conditions on the Monash Freeway until Saturday 24 July.

There will also be lanes closed on the Monash and Princes freeways between Warrigal Road and EastLink until Wednesday 21 July, with minor delays expected.

The Springvale Road inbound exit ramp from the Monash Freeway will be closed until 5am Wednesday 21 July.

Detour via Wellington Road or Blackburn Road.

The Princes Highway outbound entry ramp will be closed overnight on Monday 19 July, 8pm to 5am.

Detour via Princes Highway and Cardinia Road.

The Clyde Road outbound exit ramp will be closed overnight on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 July, with motorists to detour via Princes Highway.

There will also be daytime lane closures on ramps at Police Road inbound exit ramp, Princes Highway outbound exit ramp and Clyde Road outbound exit ramp.

There will be no left turn available from Springvale Road onto the Springvale Road outbound entry ramp to the Monash Freeway on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 July.

There will be no left turn available from Forster Road onto the Forster Road inbound entry ramp to the Monash Freeway until Tuesday 20 July.
