In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s windy outside!
And the damaging winds are set to continue into the weekend, according to the Bureau of Meteorology’s senior meteorologist Michael Laczko.
Mr Laczko said the risk would be exacerbated in elevated and hilly areas, with winds continuing through Friday afternoon and evening.
The good news is, they should ease in the west from Saturday morning, so there should be some respite on the horizon.
Locals can expect rainfall over the weekend, around 5-15mm broadly with only minor flooding expected to be a concern as rain hits the state over the next few days.
A cold front is forecast to cross Victoria on Saturday but the Bureau expects just the chance of thunderstorms in the southern suburbs.
While these are likely to be gusty, Mr Laczko said they were not expected to be severe.
