Man charged with handling stolen goods

A man has been charged by Narre Warren police night shift members after he was found unconscious in a car with stolen registration plates in Berwick.

Police responded to reports of an erratically driven vehicle and located the car parked in Enterprise Avenue at around 1am.

Police were able to remove the sleeping man from the driver’s seat where he violently came to and was assessed by paramedics.

The 27-year-old was conveyed to the Narre Warren Police Station and charged with handling stolen goods and resisting police in the early morning of Wednesday 19 January.

He was bailed to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates Court on Monday 20 June.
