Hampton Park Keno player wins $60,000

A Hampton Park man stopped in at his local tavern for a quick bite to eat after work and walked out with a $60,000 Keno win.

The player held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 615, drawn Sunday 30 January 2022.

His total prize was $62,649.70.

“I’d ducked in after work for an early dinner and decided to play some Keno before I left,” he explained when speaking with an official from Keno.

“I didn’t check the ticket for a few hours, so I was clueless I’d even won the prize.

“It was awesome when I checked the ticket and they told me I’d won more than $60,000! It’s a moment I’d been dreaming of.

“It was bloody good, hey! I was very happy. I tried to be discreet about it, but I was cheering on the inside.

“I’ve been hoping for a major win, so I’m stoked. The most I’ve won before is about $1,500. This is certainly a lot more than that!

“I am going to celebrate tonight. I’ve got a few mates coming over for some drinks and a BBQ, which will be a lot of fun.

“I already know exactly what I’ll do with the prize. I love luxury cars, so I’m going to put it towards getting a really nice one.”

The winning entry was purchased at Hampton Park Tavern.

Venue manager Vamshi said the entire team was celebrating the major Keno win.

“It’s amazing to have sold a major Keno winning entry to one of our patrons,” he said.

“We’ll celebrate this milestone in our venue this week. It’s a big moment for our entire team.

“Hopefully this is the start of many more big wins.

“Congratulations to the winner, and we hope you enjoy the prize for years to come.”

Keno is a game played at about 3,500 pubs and clubs across Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT and Victoria.

A Keno draw occurs approximately every three minutes. During each draw, 20 numbers are drawn from 1 to 80.

Players simply match the numbers on their entry to the numbers drawn for a chance to win over $1 million.

There are a range of Keno games to play, including Keno Mega Millions – a higher jackpot version of Keno Classic that uses the same Keno ball draw but gives players the chance to win more money.
