Time to recognise a local hero

Nominations are now open for Westfield Local Heroes 2022, recognising and supporting the positive impact people make to the local community.

Community members can nominate their heroes and Westfield will then select three finalists for each shopping centre to go through to a community vote.

The successful hero for each of the 42 Westfield centres is awarded a $20,000 grant for the organisation or group they represent, and each finalist receives a $5,000 grant for their organisation or group.

The 2021 Westfield Fountain Gate Local Heroes finalists in 2021 included COOK4CALD founder Ashvina De Zoysa, Equine Pathways founder Julia Battams and Mindfull Aus founder Matt Runnalls.

Across Australia and New Zealand, Westfield will provide $1.26 million in Westfield Local Hero grants in 2022.

Westfield Local Heroes alumni include community volunteers and leaders, welfare service providers, first responders, essential workers, health and medical experts, educators, environmentalists, innovators, business people, and social entrepreneurs.

Nominations close on Monday 21 March, at 4pm.
