Upgrading Ernst Wanke Intersection

In late March, the Major Roads Project will start the first stage of its works to upgrade the Ernst Wanke Road intersection, where an extra through lane will be added in each direction on Narre Warren North Road.

A new kerb and bus stops around the intersection will be built, resulting in minor changes to the way commuters use the intersection during this time.

From late March until late May, bus routes 841 and 842 will not service the Ernst Wanke/Narre Warren North Road bus stop on Narre Warren North Road.

Passengers are asked to use the bus stop During this time, please use the bus stop near Kurrajong Road/Narre Warren North Road, approximately 230 metres further south.

Other works to improve Narre Warren North Road are continuing in March.

Major Roads Project Victoria have announced that it will continue building the foundations of the new northbound lanes on Narre Warren North Road, continue upgrading the shared walking and cycling path, start building new bus stops and kerbs near the Ernst Wanke Road intersection.

Power line relocations at the intersection of Narre Warren North and Ernst Wanke Roads will be completed and Troups Creek culverts will continue being removed and replaced and utility services will continue being relocated.
