Volunteer at CISS

The Casey North Information and Support Service (CNCISS) is appealing for volunteers to help support and facilitate its community programs.

Emergency relief, a no-interest loan scheme, financial counselling and advocacy and negotiation are among the areas CNCISS provide as part of its free and confidential service.

President Susan Magee said there is uncertainty about what lies ahead for 2022 but that CNCISS have long been crucial to the fabric of the community.

“With the increased cost of living, rising fuel prices, threat of interest rates rising and fall out from debt accumulated through the long periods of lockdown, the service could get very busy and our need to keep up with demand will be quite difficult if there are no further resources provided by the government,” Ms Magee said.
