A Narre Warren woman is expected to be charged after she was caught driving 74 kilometres over the speed limit on the Eastern Freeway on Sunday Morning.
Officers clocked the P-plate driver allegedly travelling 174 km/h in a 100 km/h zone inbound on the freeway in Kew just after midnight.
Police intercepted the Honda Civic and spoke to the driver, and 18-year-old woman.
Her vehicle was immediately impounded for 30 days with towing costs of $850.
She is expected to be charged on summons with exceeding the speed limit and dangerous driving at speed.
