Driver caught after 44 years unlicensed

On Wednesday 27 July at approximately 10:20am, Casey Highway Patrol officers intercepted a 74-year-old male in a white Hyundai Sedan on Bradman Drive, Cranbourne West.

The driver has been unlicensed for 44 years since losing his licence from a drink driving offence in 1978.

As he did not re-apply for his licence, he became unlicensed and has continued to drive.

His car was impounded for a period of 30 days at a cost of $1038 and will also face the Magistrates Court.

Casey Highway Patrol continues to strive towards a Road to Zero in the Casey Area and beyond.
