A man is recovering in hospital today after he was shot during a home invasion in Narre Warren South yesterday morning.
Police have been told a number of people forced entry into a residence on Cherrywood Way about 12.40am on Wednesday, 22 March.
It’s believed there was an altercation inside the property with two male residents physically assaulted.
A 31-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds to his lower body, while a 23-year-old man was treated for a hand injury.
Three women and another man who were also inside the address were not physically injured.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined however police believe this was a targeted attack.
Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad are investigating the incident.
