Unlicensed Lyndhurst driver over the limit

A trio of offences has caught out a driver from Lyndhurst over the weekend, when she was detected driving more than 30 km/h over the speed limit.

Casey Highway Patrol officers observed a car on South Gippsland Freeway allegedly driving 136km/h in a 100km/h zone.

The driver, a 21-year-old Lyndhurst woman, was found to be driving with a cancelled driver’s license.

A breath-tested at the scene allegedly returned a positive alcohol reading of .148.

She was also allegedly found to have four passengers in the vehicle.

Her car was impounded at a cost of $1038.

She is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving, driving whilst unlicensed and exceeding speed.
