Fatal collision in Berwick

Major Collison Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fatal collision in Berwick this morning.

Investigators have been told a white Subaru wagon and a blue Ford ute collided near the intersection of O’Shea Road and Kimbarra Drive about 7.50am.

The driver of the Subaru, a 49-year-old man from Berwick, died at the scene.

The other driver, a 29-year-old Cranbourne man sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital under police guard.

His passenger, a 24-year-old Cranbourne East woman also sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.
