Event a galloping success

Akoonah Park looked magnificent for the annual Berwick Open Horse Event held on Monday 11 March.

With an array of competitors and their well-presented horses, talented judges and a small but hard-working band of committee and volunteers the day was regarded as a success.

Sharon Geoffrey, Berwick Show Horse chairperson, commented “We are thankful to the many competitors who embraced our decision to start an hour earlier than normal. We couldn’t have asked for better weather for the start of the day, allowing us to finish before lunchtime.”

Throughout the event, Ring announcer Debbie Akister thanked the sponsors, Decron Horse Care, Alex Scott and staff and Airepair Air Conditioning Services. “With the generosity of the sponsors we can continue to hold events like today and we encourage everyone to thank and support them whenever you can.”

Supreme Ridden Pony, sponsored by Decron Horse Care was won by D. Plumb with DP Victoria Street.

Supreme Ridden Galloway, sponsored by Alex Scott & Staff, was won by D. Plumb with DP Royal Ascot.

Supreme Ridden Hack, sponsored by Airepair Air Conditioning Services, was won by D. Plumb with DP Florentine.
