Pair arrested after Cranbourne carjacking and stabbing

Police have arrested two women after an aggravated carjacking and stabbing in Cranbourne on the night of Sunday 25 August.

It is believed the pair first attempted to carjack a woman on Sladen Street at about 8.40pm, but were unsuccessful in their attempt.

A few minutes later, it is believed the pair walked to a strip of shops on Lurline Street, where they approached a 35-year-old Clyde North man.

Officers have been told the pair stabbed the man and stole his vehicle before driving it to Pakenham.

The man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Both women were arrested by officers a short time later.

Police are currently speaking to a 33-year-old Mornington woman and a 28-year-old Carrum Downs woman in relation to the incident.
