Police are investigating after a man was located deceased in a vehicle in Nar Nar Goon North on Monday, 26 August.
A passerby located the man inside a white vehicle on Mount Ararat Road at about 3.15pm and called police.
At this time the man is yet to be formally identified and his death is not being treated as suspicious.
Police are also investigating whether this incident is connected to the non-fatal shooting of a 58-year-old man in Cranbourne East which occurred earlier on Monday.
Detectives have been told the 58-year-old man’s daughter called him at about 12.25am on Monday while driving to say she believed an unknown man was following her in another vehicle.
The daughter returned to their Cranbourne East home where an altercation between the man and driver ensued. Police report the driver had then gotten out of the vehicle and pushed the man, before shooting him in the abdomen.
The man remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition and police say the investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
