As the International Day of Peace is fast approaching on 21 September, here are three ways to commemorate the day.
Engaging in educational activities through schools, community groups or in workplaces that delve into topics of crises, resolution, peacebuilding and non-violence is a good way to honour the day and spread a message of goodwill.
Likewise, being an active participant in peace walks or vigils, or simply dedicating these tasks to the day, and spreading awareness through online or physical platforms is another way to commemorate the day.
Volunteering or donating to peace-building organisations, or humanitarian not-for-profits is also another way to honour the day, where one’s contribution can have real-world effects on the efforts from conflict resolution to social justice.
