Narre Warren man arrested for home crash

A 29-year-old Narre Warren man has been arrested by police after allegedly crashing his vehicle into a Clayton home this morning.

It’s believed that the man in a white SUV was travelling along Marshall Avenue when they left the roadway, mounted a footpath, and crashed into a house at around 8:15am on Thursday 12 December.

No one was inside the home during the time of the crash.

The driver then allegedly dumped the vehicle and left the scene on foot.

With the help of the K9 Unit and Nunawading Highway Patrol, the man was quickly arrested on Koonawarra Street; he is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Police and authorities are appealing to anyone who has witnessed or has more information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
