Carnival comes to town

Orchard Park Primary School held a carnival that embodied the spirit of community on March 1.

The school carnival was all about ‘Community’ and bringing people together and giving back to our school community. It was a fun-filled event with rides, stalls from local vendors, delicious food trucks, music, animals and a visit from the Officer Fire Brigade.

More than just a celebration of the Orchard Park Primary School Community, it was also a way to welcome the wider community and create a space where everyone could connect and enjoy the day.

Students, families, teachers, neighbours and visitors from the wider community came together to support and celebrate the school.

Local resident and host, Cyndal Reumer said the school carnival was an amazing event that truly brought our community together.

“One of the biggest highlights—and definitely the most entertaining—was the dunk tank, where students had the chance to dunk their teachers, the principal and assistant principal!”

“I truly believe our school community spirit is incredibly strong and something we can be proud of. Of course, this year getting to dunk teachers and school leadership was definitely a unique tradition – which we intend to keep alive.”

While good weather may have played a role, it’s worth noting that even their last carnival in October 2023, despite the rainy and windy conditions, still attracted a great crowd and maintained a lively energy. This highlights the amazing community spirit of Orchard Park Primary School and the dedication of everyone who comes together to make these events special.”
