
A 37-year-old Clyde man has been arrested and released following a collision in Notting Hill last week.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives arrested the driver after it was alleged that a pedestrian was jogging on a footpath on Blackburn Road before a white van mounted the nature strip and struck the man just before 5pm on 15 March.
The 73-year-old pedestrian was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.
The van allegedly left the scene before emergency services arrived and did not return.
After the Clyde suspect was arrested, interviewed on Sunday, 16 March, and released, he is expected to be charged on summons with dangerous driving causing serious injury.
