Saturday Sharp-Shooters

It’s that time of the week again.

Ahead of today’s Outer East Premier Division netball, it’s time to take a look back at the best sharp-shooters of the competition, and who found the net the most in last weekend’s fixtures.

After missing out the week before due to forfeit, Elizabeth Murphy bounced back with an enormous haul against Upwey Tecoma.

Murphy scored 53 goals in the battle of the Tigers, to propel her season tally to 357.

The big outing wasn’t big enough for Murphy to reclaim pole position however, as Olinda Ferny Creek’s Hayley Howard (33 goals) remains six goals ahead.

With back-to-back zero-goal appearances, Wandin’s Abby Gedge has now slid to fourth position and now 39 goals behind third (Erin Bell – Narre Warren).

So here is the top-five…

1. Hayley Howard (Olinda Ferny Creek) 363

2. Elizabeth Murphy (Woori Yallock) 357

3. Erin Bell (Narre Warren) 320

4. Abby Gedge (Wandin) 281

5. Stephanie Puopolo (Monbulk) 267
