West Gippsland tennis heating up

Genelle Bevan, Liza Hickey, Barb Klaskala and Emma Arnett have led Officer Blue into the grand final of the West Gippsland Tennis Association midweek ladies competition.

Officer and Beaconsfield each won three sets in their rubber, with Officer wining by just three games, thanks in large part to a dominant performance by Arnett.

Officer will take on Pakenham this week in the grand final at Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre.

Bunyip (Chris Millidonis, Eshan Shankar, Chris Adams) three rubbers. six sets, 38 games defeat Pakenham (Giselle De Bartolo, Ronald Leo) zero rubbers, zero sets, 18 games.

Officer (Troy Haysham-Weidner, Dylan Pettigrew) two rubbers, four sets, 31 games defeat Drouin (Josh Bloye, Tim Bloye) one rubber, three sets, 33 games.

Beaconsfield (Craig Sankey, Andrew Peart) two rubbers, four sets, 31 games defeat Drouin (Nick Pratt, Lachlan Pitman).

Officer defeat Pakenham by forfeit.
