Cheers and Snipers close in on Predators

Three teams are locked at the top in the South West Gippsland Dart League after round seven produced a plethora of highlights at the oche.

On a great night of entertainment, five names were added to the 180-list with Matty B, Donny, Liam, Ant and Chris Richardson all managing a perfect visit to the board.

With Predators sitting idle with the bye, Cheers and Snipers took the chance to join the ladder leaders on six wins each after seven rounds.

Cheers were in dominant form against AAA Dartz, with Ant and Liam throwing 180s in an impressive 12-3 victory.

Liam threw eight tons on the night and Ant six, proving too much for AAA to handle.

Snipers were also in great form, winning 14-1 against bottom-placed Dart Attack.

Chris Richardson was the star of the show, adding seven tons to her first 180 of the season.

Bill Richardson added five tons for Snipers, while Dean Gibbs took his tally to 48 for the season with another finely-tuned display of darts.

In other games this week, Dart Vaders won its third game for the season with a 9-6 win over 26ers, while Just Social made it three consecutive victories with an 11-4 success over Dart Devils.

Mud Rats moved to fifth place, confirming back-to-back wins with a 10-5 triumph over Generals, while Gembrook won the close one of the round seven, prevailing 8-7 in a hard-fought match against Bullseyes.

Gembrook now sits seventh, in a building log-jam in the middle steps on the ladder.
