Man charged with gun offences

A 30-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with firearm offences at Narre Warren Police Station. The Berwick resident reported to the station about 8pm on Friday as part of his bail conditions.
He was arrested over two outstanding warrants, and a police search of the man uncovered a .32 calibre pistol. Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Wilcox of Narre Warren CIU said the man was charged with carrying an unregistered firearm, carry a loaded firearm in a populace place and conduct endangering life.
The man was remanded in custody to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on Monday, but instead appeared at Frankston.
No application for bail was made and he has been remanded to appear again on Wednesday, 3 May.
