Home win for Endeavour United

ENDEAVOUR United Soccer Club made a convincing home start to the men’s State League Three South-East Division with a 3-2 win over Templestowe Eagles on Saturday.
The win was a welcome turnaround from the 2-1 away loss to Sandringham the week before.
Endeavour United had played with passion and enthusiasm, but unfortunately failed to convert some great scoring chances.
Ted Ithier was the sole scorer for United after he cracked a goal from outside the 18-yard box.
The young United squad, comprising of mostly 17- and 18-year-olds, remains hopeful to continue improving and improve their sixth position on the league ladder.
After bye this Saturday the side will no doubt be fit and firing to play rivals Fitzroy City.
The match, on 22 April, will be played at home at the Reema Boulevard Reserve in Stacey Court, Endeavour Hills.
The reserves kick off at 1pm and the seniors begin at 3pm.
The reserves made an even start to the season, being defeated 0-2 by Templestowe in the first game, but were back on the winner’s board last week, beating Sandringham 4-3.
Daniel Vigilanti scored a goal and Daniel Veljovic a hat-trick.
