ENDEAVOUR Hills’ A-grade rugby side was left to rue its start after going down to last year’s premier Boroondara on the weekend.
The slow start allowed the strong Boroondara line-up to jump out to a 17-0 lead before a strong comeback left Endeavour Hills trailing 23-17 with 10 minutes remaining.
With the threat of an embarrassing home loss on the cards, Boroondara regained control and scored the final try of the match to run out the 28-17 winner.
The over 35s continued their strong performance with a 41-7 defeat of Melbourne Uni, but the Colts to Footscray 28-0.
The under 18s played at home against Power House and won 57-7, while the U16s made it a double with a 32-0 victory. The under 12s beat Moorabbin 20-0, while the under 14s had a bye.
