Casey councillor Lorraine Wreford, interim school captains Zac Cox and Sam Hobbs, Narre Warren South MP Judith Graley, and students Ben, Kelsey and Zac are all excited about the $1.2 million sports complex upgrade.STUDENTS at Narre Warren South P-12 College will be using a $1.2 million sports complex by the start of 2008.
The project will extend the school’s existing stadium and provide fixed seating, two new multi-purpose rooms and a physiotherapy room.
The college’s 1885 students will make use of the facilities during their physical education classes and other sporting programs.
The State Government has contributed $600,000 to the redevelopment with Casey Council and the college allocating $300,000 each.
College principal Ross Miller said he was excited about the announcement.
“These new facilities will not only provide enhanced opportunities for our students during school hours, but they will also create much needed space for after-school programs,” Mr Miller said.
Interim school captains Sam Hobbs and Zac Cox echoed their principal’s thoughts and said it would be great to have more physical education facilities at the growing school.
Narre Warren South MP Judith Graley said the funding would support the continued development of one of the largest schools in the area.
