Weekend What’s On

Shrek the Musical Junior

Kambrya College is developing a proud tradition within the Performing Arts of putting on a musical each year. They are performing the spectacular production, Shrek the Musical Jr. It’s based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film ‘Shrek’ and fantastic Broadway musical, too. It’s a “big bright beautiful world” as everyone’s favourite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairy-tale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek Jr is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family. 100 students involved both on stage singing, dancing and acting; as well as off stage designing and building sets, props, costumes and also learning lighting and sound engineering. There will be a matinee performance on this same day.
