Berwick’s Ian and Norma Adcock

A BERWICK couple have just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Ian and Norma Adcock marked their golden day by hosting an afternoon tea for 25 of their family and friends last Saturday.
The couple have lived in Berwick for nine years and are active members at the Narre Warren Bowls Club, with Mr Adcock running the indoor bowls.
The Berwick Retirement Village residents met at the local badminton and tennis club and were married on 19 July 1958.
They have four children and five grandchildren.
Mr Adcock, 79, said the key to a successful marriage was not to hold grudges.
“Norma is my best friend,” he said.
Mrs Adcock said it was love at first sight.
“We were friends to begin with but I knew he was the one,” she said.
The 76-year-old said they used to travel to Queensland regularly but now preferred to spend time in Berwick.
