Teen allegedly assaulted at party

Police are investigating an alleged robbery of a teenage girl in Berwick on Friday 26 April.

It’s believed the 14-year-old was leaving a birthday party on Homestead Road when she was allegedly attacked just before midnight.

A number of witnesses ran to her aid when they saw a female assault the victim and steal her phone, police say.

It’s alleged another party goer grabbed the phone from the female who left the area.

The victim was escorted inside the premises and was not injured.

The female is perceived to be a youth of African appearance.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
