Man assaulted after leaving bus

Police are appealing for the public’s help after a man’s phone was taken in an alleged robbery in Narre Warren on Tuesday 7 May.

It’s believed a bandit boarded the route 834 bus from Narre Warren Railway Station about 8.20pm, before following the victim off the bus at Saxonwood Drive a short time later and assaulting him.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is perceived to be of African appearance and about 183cm tall with a thin build and short black hair.

He was wearing dark pants, dark shoes, and a navy “Fila” jumper with red and white strips running down the sleeves.
