HALLAM Fire Station firefighters will check the hoses and test the sirens when they hold their annual community open day on Sunday 5 October.
The day’s activities will kick off at 10am and will include fire fighting demonstrations, a smoke house simulator, community safety messages and a sausage sizzle.
The community will also get the opportunity to watch a road accident rescue demonstration and tour the station.
More than 40 volunteers are preparing for the upcoming event that aims to allow the community to meet and interact with the local fire brigade.
The Hallam Fire Station has been operating out of Hallam since July 2004.
For more information about the event please call the Hallam Fire Station on 8795 7513.
