More than 12 students, aged from 10 to 18 years, will represent Hillcrest Christian College in the Interschool Show Jumping (ISJ) Series.
The first event of the series is being held at the school’s Ayr Hill Equestrian Park on Friday 26 September.
The annual series, which includes three separate competitions, is being run in partnership with schools such as Haileybury College, The Peninsula School, Toorak College and Woodleigh School.
Hillcrest Christian College equestrian coordinator Deborah Lovett said the competition was the first of its kind in Australia.
Ms Lovett said the students had been taking part in training clinics in preparation for the upcoming event.
The event has attracted more than 80 entries, with an expected crowd set to reach over 100 people.
