In nearby council areas, Greater Dandenong’s infections remained steady on 18 with one active case while Cardinia had 16 and zero active cases.

The data doesn’t specify where the cases are located exactly within the municipalities.

In the past day, Victoria’s cases rose by seven to 1681. Of them, 1586 have recovered.

There have been 178 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Victoria that have been acquired through unknown transmission.

Currently seven people are in hospital, including one patient in intensive care.

Of the new cases, a student was diagnosed at Newbury Primary School in Craigieburn.

The student attended school on Friday 29 May while infectious but was not displaying any signs of illness at the time. The student became ill on the weekend and was kept home from school all week.

The school will be closed today as the Department of Health and Human Services works with Department of Education and Training and the school to identify close contacts of the case.A deep clean of affected classrooms and common areas will be conducted at the school.

The other two cases were detected in returned travellers in hotel quarantine.

Meanwhile, Victoria Police have issued three fines to people breaching social distancing restrictions since Sunday 31 May as part of Operation Sentinel.
