MORE than 400 bags of rubbish and five trailer loads of hard waste were collected from community sites in the City of Casey for Clean Up Australia Day.
Clean Up Australia Day has been dubbed a success this year, with more than 630,000 volunteers across Australia getting involved.
City of Casey mayor Geoff Ablett said that it was fantastic to have many local residents volunteering their time and retrieving litter from the creeks and reserves.
“I congratulate all Casey residents who took part in the event,” he said.
