Bike safety drive

POLICE have launched a campaign to provide a safer environment for motorcycle riders on Victorian Roads.
Over the past five years, there has been a 42 per cent increase in the total number of registered motorcyclists and scooter riders in then state.
Police say they are committed to educating all road users on the importance of sharing the road and taking responsibility for their actions.
“We’ll have police on motorbikes, foot patrol and in vehicles distributing information leaflets to all road users, speaking with motorcyclists directly and patrolling popular routes for motorcycle commuters,” State Highway Patrol Inspector David Griffin said.
