Around 30 people wearing hats of all different colours, shapes and sizes turned up to Ms Oeser’s fundraiser on Wednesday 2 June to raise money for the Cancer Council.
This was the first time Ms Oeser has held an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event.
“I lost my dad to cancer about four years ago and my mother’s best friend is recovering form breast cancer,” she said.
“It’s all very close to home for me and I thought the fundraiser was a good way to raise some money.”
Ms Oeser raised $485 at the morning tea, which ran from 10am to 2pm.
