Parkers power in pennant

IT was a good week for Hampton Park with wins in Division 4, 7 and the SDELBA.
In division four, the much-awaited return game against Noble Park on Hampton Park’s greens went well.
Les Unwin, Alan Wilcock, Robert Naismith and skip Graham Slight combined well to lose only six ends to record a 27-shot win to the Parkers (36-9).
With only a two-shot lead, Heather Naismith, Christine Hendrie, Rob Woff and skip Neville Hendrie won the last five ends to win by 11 (26-15).
Charles Hose, Fred McBrian, Geoff Ampt and skip Bob Woodfield held their ground to win by four shots (26-22).
Getting a good start enabled Andrew Brandolin, Lance Davis, Ken Cobden and skip Geoff Ladner to win only four ends in the second half and still win by nine (27-18).
Division 4 – Hampton Park 18-115 d Noble Park 0-64.

Hampton Park went to Keysborough and scored a one-shot win.
Vince Kovacic, Greg Pentland, Eddie Graafsma and skip Bob Nicol made a late charge to finish only five shots short (20-25).
It was very close for Lino Da Pos, Mark Paton, George Pettitt and skip Bill Webb going down by one shot (29-30).
A late run by Keysborough saw Bruce Pointon, Pat Moevasa, Paul Barna and skip Ray Wood miss by four shots (20-24).
Gerry Cox, Allan Unwin, Allan March and skip Ray Leggett started well and then held to win by 11 shots (31-20).
Hampton Park 12-100 d Keysborough 6-99.

Dandenong City played host to Hampton Park and inflicted a 31-shot defeat on the visitors.
Mary Hose, Joyce Cameron, June Damon and skip Geri Graafsma won a close game on the last four ends by four shots (26-22).
It was touch and go all day for Ellen Smith, Gwen Clough, Ann Westwell and skip Chris Hendrie with the end result being a draw (25-25).
Nine single shots and a two, left Gail Wilcock, Rhonda Diaper, Rob Woff and skip Grace Hogan 25 shots down (11-36).
Being 20 shots down after seven ends made it very hard for Dot Carr, Andrew Brandolin, Shirley Burnside and skip Heather Naismith to bridge the gap (20-30).
Hampton Park 0-82 lost to Dandenong City 2-113

The Parkers made the trip to Brighton to play Hampton RSL in a must-win game.
Ray Leggett, Chris Hendrie, Geoff Ampt and Neville Hendrie won by six shots (29-23).
Charles Hose, Keith Damon, Lance Davis and Geoff Ladner won by eight shots (25-17).
Jim Westwell, Andrew Brandolin, Ann Westwell and Graham slight lost by one shot (23-24).
Hampton Park 10-77 d Hampton RSL 2-64.
