DEVON Meadows’ netballers were plagued with injuries against the strong Cranbourne teams on Saturday but all players put in gallant efforts and the potential of some started to show.
A GRADE
Devon Meadows started strongly and got away to an early lead. Scores were close going into the final quarter, but the Meadows team was unable to stop Cranbourne from powering home. Fiona E. Robinson was best for her outstanding efforts as goal keeper.

B GRADE
Devon Meadows got a sluggish start in a physical match. The team fought back well but was unable to catch up with the Cranbourne lead. Jayde Leota was best for her accurate goaling and driving in the ring.
Scores: Cranbourne 50 d Devon Meadows 31.
C GRADE
Devon Meadows performed well against Cranbourne. The team was working well together and demonstrated lovely passages of play. Emma Beaton filled in from the under 17s and was named best for her fine game at wing attack.

17 AND UNDER
Devon Meadows started slowly against Cranbourne and was nine goals down at halftime. The players lifted in the second half and levelled the scores with only minutes to go. In a nailbiting finale Meadows drew with Cranbourne but displayed talent to fight their way back. Kimberley Harlock was best for playing an outstanding match in the centre.
Scores: Devon Meadows 29 drew with Cranbourne 29.
15 AND UNDER
Devon Meadows played well but was unable to defeat the stronger Cranbourne. Despite this, the players are working well together and showed how much they had learnt through the season. Keeley Jubb played strongly throughout the match and was awarded best.

13 AND UNDER
Devon Meadows played fine netball against Cranbourne. Meadows managed to significantly reduce the margin of loss from the teams’ first encounter this season (from 45 goals to 16), illustrating how far the team has come this season. Jayne Hussey played an outstanding game and was named best.
