Families make more

THERE was double and even triple the fun last weekend as some of Casey’s twins and triplets came together for a fun filled picnic.
The function was all part of the friendly and supportive Casey and District Multiple Birth Association list of events.
Cold and wet weather only put a slight dampener on the day with about 10 families turning up to the day held at a Dandenong park.
The children played together while their parents shared ideas and advice on raising multiple children.
Association president Judith Saffigna, a mother of twin daughters herself, said numbers were slightly down on previous functions.
“The rain kept a few away but no one was complaining because we really need the rain,” Ms Saffigna said.
She said the group was trying to promote community awareness about multiple births and encourage other families to become involved.
“It’s a great way to offer support to other families of multiples. I’ve been involved for the last nine years and have made some really close friends,” she said.
Anyone wishing to find out more about Casey and District Multiple Birth Association events can contact Judith on 9790 1022.
