Dancers take the rap

CASEY teenagers are slipping on their dancing shoes as a new monthly teenage dance party hits the Hallam Senior Citizens Centre.
The City of Casey’s Recreation Access Project (RAP) is introducing the monthly event for teenagers with a disability on Saturday 5 July.
The two hour party, with professional DJ Sound Clash, will kick off at 5pm and costs $6 per person.
Participants who require support are requested to bring their own carer as no support will be provided.
City of Casey mayor Janet Halsall said the dance party was a great opportunity for young people with a disability to have fun in a safe environment.
She said Casey was committed to developing and supporting recreation environments that are accessible to people with a disability.
