Mothers gather for campaign

By Kelly Yates
A POPULAR radio star took to the stage at Westfield Fountain Gate as local mothers gathered for the launch of the centre’s We Are Family campaign.
The campaign is a celebration of mothers and offers free workshops and events throughout July and August.
The event kicked off at 10.30am on Wednesday and was hosted by George McEncroe from mix 101.1 fm’s breakfast show.
The radio presenter and mother of four expressed some hilarious comedic musings on womanhood, motherhood and everything in between.
Westfield Fountain Gate’s marketing executive Melissa Ephraums said this was the first time the centre had an event focused on mothers.
“We didn’t attract as many mums as we would have liked but it was the first of many shows for local mothers,” she said.
“The ones who attended had a chuckle and a laugh, which was the main aim of the show.”
For further information about the upcoming events at Westfield Fountain Gate contact the centre on 9704 6666.
