THE Doveton Filipino Choir will be one of many groups performing at the Drum Theatre in Dandenong during this Saturday’s Filipino Arts Fiesta.
The Centre for Philippine Concerns Australia has produced the show, which characterises the diversity of the Filipino community in Victoria’s south east.
Carmelina Di Guglielmo is directing the fiesta, which celebrates Filipino culture and also showcases the positive influences of the colonisers of their land.
The youth dance group R and K will also perform on the night.
The mix of Filipino-Australia youth, and the integration of Asian, European and Australian backgrounds, will guarantee an entertaining evening for all.
The Filipino Arts Fiesta will be held at the Drum Theatre, 226 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong, on 17 February from 7pm to 9pm.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $12.50 for children.
To book, contact the Drum Theatre box office on 9771 6666.
