Day full of value for students

STUDENTS at Timbarra Primary School stepped out of the classroom and into a day full of enthralling activities as part of their Values Education Forum last week.
The rainy weather couldn’t dampen the excitement at the event designed to bring students from all year levels together to participate in several different entertaining and educational programs.
More than 500 students took part in the full day of activities and were joined by parents and guardians from the wider school community.
Titled Manners, Morals and Me, the day included a visit from local emergency crews who explained to the students their role in the community as well as demonstrating the features of a modern day police car and fire engine.
Classes then came together to present the school with various songs and instrumental performances that entertained the audience and demonstrated the musical potential of several performers.
Another highlight was the return of former student and current day pop star Paris Maggs who wowed the crowd with her energetic vocal performances.
Wellbeing manager Linda Duncanson said the day was a massive success that was enjoyed by everyone who attended.
“The special Manners, Morals and Me assembly was a huge hit as our junior leadership addressed the importance of values education, using good manners and developing our morals,” Ms Duncanson said.
