CASEY residents got up and active during an event designed to promote sport to people with disabilities.
More than 20 people from disabled support organisations in Casey, including Blairlogie, Kalima Support Options and Casey Deaf Club, attended the program last month at the YMCA Endeavour Hills Leisure Centre.
The event was organised to coincide with International Day for People with Disability.
Casey deputy mayor Kevin Bradford launched the day that included opportunities for people to participate in group fitness classes, gymnastics and soccer activities.
Casey Deaf Club secretary Terence Childs also attended and provided information regarding the different types of sign language and services available to assist the hearing impaired.
