CASEY twins took centre stage at Melbourne’s one and only Trinny and Susannah show at Westfield Southland.
Carolyn Wallace and Carmel Reade, identical twins wearing the exact same clothes, got a raving response from fashion icons Trinny and Susannah after they were hand picked form a crowd of about 600 contest winners.
“Our tactic worked; we thought by wearing the same clothes we would have a better chance at being picked.
“It was such a buzz being up on stage with them,” Ms Wallace said.
Known world wide as the fashion doctors, Trinny and Susannah shot to fame with their television shows What Not to Wear and Undress the Nation.
The sisters said they had been fans of Trinny and Susannah for about eight years and admit to owning all of their books.
“They said it was fascinating to see identical twins with the exact same body shape, a cello body shape,” she said.
“Trinny and Susannah have an incredible eye for detail.
“They could pick the flaws and the good bits of people straight away,” she said.
Ms Wallace said she found Trinny to be slightly more intimidating than Susannah.
“What ever information they could pass on to us we were going to take it on board,” she said.
“You have to be open minded when you attend events like this – you can’t take what they say to heart.”
Ms Reade said she was absolutely beside herself with excitement.
“I’d kill to have Susannah’s body, she’s a walking testament of what they are promoting,” she said.
“No matter what body shape you are, if you do it right you’ll look great.
“To win the tickets was a dream come true as we never win anything but then to be dragged up on stage with Trinny and Susannah was just the icing on the cake,” Ms Reade said.
