GRADE-one and grade-two students at Southern Cross Primary School have jumped aboard this term, learning all about different modes of transport.
The Endeavour Hills students have been busy studying air, land and sea travel and have been having fun learning about the many modes of transport.
To conclude their term-two studies students were visited by guest speakers from Yarra Trams’ Glenhuntly depot, customer relations and marketing officer Kristina Iskra and tram driver Steven Alexandrou.
The visitors had the students immersed in activities such as role-playing, discussions and taking part in a colouring competition.
The students learnt about the history of trams and their transformation over many years. This year is the celebration of 100 years of electric trams.
