STUDENTS from an Endeavour Hills primary school will be slipping into their denim jeans for the annual Jeans for Genes Day on Friday 1 August.
Chalcot Lodge Primary School has been involved with the national fundraiser for two years and has raised about $400 in that time.
All of the money collected goes to the Children’s Medical Research Institute, where scientists research conditions such as birth defects, cancer and epilepsy.
More than 200 students from Prep to Year Six will take part in the event, all donating a gold coin to the cause.
Jeans for Genes Day is held on the first Friday in August each year.
