POLICE are urging more businesses to come forward and join the new database aimed at reducing the amount of commercial and industrial burglaries in Casey.
The confidential database is now up and running and lists local businesses and residential properties that have closed circuit television (CCTV) or surveillance cameras.
Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Lewis said that any business with a camera installed could be included in the database.
“It will help solve the staggering amount of local burglaries and hopefully see the return of the stolen products,” he said.
For further information or inquiries to join the database, Det Sen Sg Chris Lewis at the Narre Warren police station could be contacted on 9705 3111.
