ONE of Australia’s most popular female entertainers, Wendy Stapleton, will be the headline act at this year’s City of Casey Mayoral Charity Concert on Saturday 6 September.
The event will kick off at 7.30pm at the Berwick Church of Christ with special performances by local solo artists, dancers, and a band.
The lead performer has wowed audiences with the ultimate tribute to one of the world’s greatest singers, Dusty Springfield, and has also performed with the best of Australian talent including John Farnham, Glen Shorrock, Jon English, and Joe Camilleri.
Concert producer and City of Casey councillor Wayne Smith said the upcoming concert would be the tenth he had produced.
“Over the years I’ve been pleased to have uncovered many new local talents and also raised thousands of dollars for local charity,” he said.
All proceeds from the concert will go towards Windermere Child and Family Services, a local not-for-profit organisation that provides services to around 3000 City of Casey families and children each year.
Tickets for the Mayoral Charity Concert go on sale from Monday 4 August and are available from the City of Casey Customer Service Centres located at the Civic Centre in Narre Warren, Centro in Cranbourne, and Amberly Park Shopping Centre in Narre Warren South.
Tickets cost $15 for people aged 15 years and over, $10 for concession and children aged five to 15 years, and children under five have free entry.
