STUDENTS at a Berwick school got a dose of the Olympic fever last week, when they hosted a mini Olympic Games.
More than 779 students from Brentwood Park Primary School took part in the official opening ceremony last Tuesday, and were geared up for the Brentwood Park Mini Olympics held on Wednesday 6 August.
To celebrate the world Olympics, students from Prep to Grade 6 joined in activities such as soccer, basketball, sack races and a vortex throw.
The students also got up close and personal with past Olympian Kris McCarthy.
The runner, who competed in the Athens and Sydney Olympic Games in the 800m event, spoke to the children about his journey and striving for success.
